Westcliff Estate – Plant-Fit Make a Difference
Plant-Fit’s Excavator and Dumper has been photographed by the Scunthorpe Telegraph, helping to renovate Westcliff estate. A £9 million renovation between Ongo Homes and North Lincolnshire Council is helping to change the currently negative shadow portrayed on the area. As always, Plant-Fit’s machines are on the scene and are really are making a difference! We really can’t wait to see the progress and change made by the renovation!

Position type: Full Time Permanent
Plant Fit Ltd are currently looking to appoint a Plant Fitter to be based at the Doncaster Head Office.
Job Purpose: To maintain, inspect, repair plant and equipment to prescribed standards in accordance with the Department for Transport (DfT).
The Successful Candidate will:
- Maintain, inspect, repair and test the plant and equipment.
- Carry out periodic safety inspections to all Plant vehicles to VOSA inspection manual standards.
- Carry out fault diagnosis on complex hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
- Carry out welding, fabrication and body repairs as required.
- Attend broken down or accident damaged vehicles and effect permanent or running repairs as required.
- Prepare and decommission vehicles. Fitting and removing a diverse range of ancillary equipment, accessories and livery.
- Complete associated paperwork to ensure that all statistics and legal information are produced, update dedicated workshop records as necessary.
- Ensure that all relevant legislation and Health and Safety procedures are adhered to.
- Maintain work areas in a safe and clean condition.
- Attend training courses linked to service needs.
- Carry out any other duties as instructed by the supervisory staff.
Key skills
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent / Time served experience
- Full driving licence is essential
- Class 2 driving licence would be preferable
- Plant experience is essential
Salary / Working hours
- Hours of work are Monday – Friday + overtime when necessary
- Competitive salary
- 20 days’ holiday + bank holidays

How to use our app? Written Tutorial
The Basics & Making your first order
Getting started with our app is easy, run through the quick setup to download photos and read important information. Once on our homescreen you will notice two sections, Plant-Hire and Servicing, for now only Plant-Hire is available, so click anywhere in that section to see our order creator.
Our order creator is easy to use, simply follow the steps on screen to select the vehicles and extras you want, then proceed to enter your site location, order number (if you have one) and timeframe (how long you want said vehicles for). No worry if you want to extend your order or offhire vehicles one by one, you can do this later. Once done review your order, write any additional notes, accept our terms and conditions and then login to upload your order. Don’t have an account? Here’s how to get a digital account setup.
Creating an order (Advanced)
You can select attachments and view more about your vehicle in question by holding down on the vehicle you want to view more about. In this new popup you will receive extra information about the vehicle, a bigger picture and ability to choose/add attachments. You can easily close off the menu if the vehicle is not what you need, or if it is the vehicle you desire, you can easily click ‘Add to Order’ to add it straight to your order. You can also use automatic location detection by typing your postcode and site name then clicking Lookup Address.
Make your Account with us digital
To make your current account with us digital, email us at info@plant-fit.co.uk or call us to request a digital account. An account will then be created within 24 hours and your email address supplied with your account will be send an email with your login information. Once received you can login and change you password instantly to make your account more secure. We might also email you starter information on how to use the app, however if you’d rather not receive this information, you can tell us in the email you send when you request your digital account. Getting a digital account is completely free, so there is no reason to not upgrade. Please note you do require an existing account with us before getting a digital account. Plant-Fit help to create Lidl in Bentley
Plant-Fit Ltd are helping to construct the new Lidl site which is located in Bentley, Doncaster.
The new supermarket, will not only provide many new Jobs for residents, but also will make a supermarket more easily accessible to all the residents located within the centre of Bentley. Lidl will also be a close competitor to the Morrisons Supermarket on York Road, and also to the Tesco Express on Bentley Road.
FoxWood, the company responsible for the site, hired a 8T 360 Excavator and a Roller from us to help level out the terrain and construct the foundations of the site.

Telehandler Working at Everton for Gr33n Group
It was a pleasant surprise to hear local company Gr33n Group needing a vehicle, and choosing us to provide for them. We provided a JCB 14m tele-handler which will get the job done effectively and quickly.
